Incendium
by Stardust Labs
Completely revamps the Nether dimension with new biomes, structures, mobs via commands, and custom loot. Transforms the Nether into a rich adventure dimension.
Overview
Incendium gives the Nether the same treatment Terralith gives the Overworld, adding eight-plus new biomes alongside custom structures, dungeons, and command-summoned encounters. Stardust Labs combines worldgen JSON for the new fiery landscapes with function and loot-table work that drives bespoke gear, boss fights, and treasure rooms. Mobs and bosses are realised through command logic and entity data rather than a code mod, keeping everything vanilla-legal. It reframes the Nether from a hazard to cross into a destination worth raiding.
It fits adventure-minded players and servers that want the Nether to be a genuine loot-and-boss dungeon dimension. It comes from Stardust Labs, sits in the World Generation category, and is rated a moderate pack to run. Everything happens through vanilla data pack functions, so no mod loader such as Fabric or Forge is required to use it on Minecraft 1.20 through 1.21.4.
Features
- 8+ new Nether biomes
- Custom Nether structures and dungeons
- Unique loot and gear
- Boss encounters
- Compatible with Terralith
How It Works
Under the hood, Incendium relies on plain data pack mechanics rather than any client mod. Here is what happens in-game once it is loaded:
- 1New Nether biomes are added through noise and biome-source JSON so they slot beside vanilla wastes and forests.
- 2Custom structures use jigsaw and structure-set files to scatter dungeons across the dimension.
- 3Loot tables seed unique gear and treasure into the new structure chests on generation.
- 4Boss and mob encounters are driven by datapack functions and predicates that fire on triggers.
Supported Versions
Compatibility
Best paired with Terralith. May conflict with other Nether-focused packs.
- Built to run alongside Terralith and Nullscape as part of the same Stardust Labs collection.
- May conflict with other Nether-focused worldgen packs that also redefine the Nether biome source.
- Safe beside Overworld-only packs since it confines its changes to the Nether dimension.
An optional resource pack supplies matching textures, models, and atmosphere for the custom gear and structures, though the core gameplay functions run without it.

How to Install
Incendium installs as a standard Java Edition data pack and runs on both singleplayer worlds and multiplayer servers. Recent 1.21 releases bumped the data pack format, so keep the pack's pack.mcmeta in step with your server version.
- 1.Download the Incendium pack as a .zip and keep it zipped.
- 2.Open the target world folder — a singleplayer save under .minecraft/saves, or the world folder on your server.
- 3.Drop the .zip into that world's datapacks folder, creating the folder if it does not exist.
- 4.Load the world (or run /reload if it is already open) and run /datapack list to confirm it is enabled.
The pack is built for Minecraft 1.20 through 1.21.4, so it loads on vanilla Java without Fabric, Forge or any other mod loader. As a Nether worldgen pack it should be installed before first entering the Nether; newly generated Nether chunks carry its biomes while previously loaded ones do not.

What versions of Minecraft does Incendium work on?
It supports Java Edition 1.20 through 1.21.4, covering 1.20.1 and 1.20.4 as well.
Is Incendium a mod?
No. It is a vanilla data pack; its mobs and bosses are made with commands and entity data, so no Fabric or Forge is needed.
Does Incendium work with Terralith?
Yes. The two are designed to be played together because they overhaul different dimensions and do not overlap.
Will Incendium affect my existing Nether?
Its biomes and structures only appear in Nether chunks generated after installation, so explored areas stay vanilla.
Does Incendium add new loot and gear?
Yes. Custom loot tables place unique gear and treasure inside its new structures and dungeons.
Are there boss fights in Incendium?
Yes. It includes boss encounters built through datapack functions and triggers rather than added by a code mod.
